Introducing our new program in Gomel…

Since February, 2010 Belarusian Children's Hospice has launched «Gomel program» under which we expect to develop services for palliative care for children in Gomel. To this aim, based on the third Gomel city children central clinic was opened doctor's consulting room of the palliative care (room number 210). Today the team of palliative care in Gomel has 4 people: doctors, psychologists, two nurses. This team is headed by physician Kalmanovich Irina Ludwigovna. Thus palliative care service provides medical, psychological and social assistance to terminally ill children and their families living in Gomel. Monthly 12–15 families receive assistance.
