Marina needs help for the photopheresis therapy… In 2005, my daughter Marina was diagnosed — a chronic myelomonocytic leukemia. Girl had been on the medicines for 6 months and donated blood test weekly. In the summer of 2006 partially compatible donor was found, and in August HYGW Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Center in Borovlyany carried out partly incompatible unrelated bone marrow transplantation. After that chronic GVHR (graft versus host reaction) developed, and complications appeared — liver, gastrointenstinalny tract (the girl could not eat, there was constant vomiting). Her skin was severely damaged, scleroderma appeared. In September 2007 girl fell into an artificial coma, and had to be connected to the ventilator. As a result, after the release of the coma, Marina could not walk. In 2008, she was discharged home, where parents help her to pass the rehabilitation. Nevertheless, for three years the state of Marina has not changed. Doctors recommend her to pass photopheresis therapy in the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology in Borovlyany. However, for the organization of such treatment it is necessary to buy supplies (sets) worth € 60 000. Demidenko, Marina, 1990, Gomel Fundraising for the photopheresis therapy.
