We have published a new book …

In August of 2011 with the support of the International Children's Fund in the Republic of Belarus we have published a booklet «The experience of the Belarusian children's hospice inorganizing of the temporary detention around the clock of seriously ill children».

According to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of the Republic of Belarus, the most acute problems faced by parents raising a disabled child are difficult financial situation, absence of the opportunities for recreation, employment, etc.. Thus, the urgent issue for a significant day-care service (nurse) and the organization of temporary residence around the clock for disabled child or young person with disabilities in a hospital, which would allow parents to solve domestic and personal problems, gives the opportunity to relax.

This booklet reflects triennial experience of the service «social respite» based in the Belarusian Children's Hospice. The book can be useful for specialists of correctional centers, the territorial centers for social services, as well as for many other people and organizations working with disabled children and their families.
