We are summing up the first results of the work of the charity telephone line…

With the assistance of the Delegation of the International Children's Foundation in the Republic of Belarus, the direct charity telephone line has begun its work since July 12, 2010 to raise the funds for the Belarusian Children's Hospice. A great help in creating the line was rendered by the Republican Unitary Enterprise «Beltelecom» who gratuitously conducted the telephone cable and organized the work of the line. This way, today, to lend us support one may just telephone the number 8-902-101–0000 and thus help the sick children and their families who are under the wardship of the Belarusian Children's Hospice. Telephoning the number, a calling line donates to the Belarusian Children's Hospice the amount of 5700 roubles. The given amount of money is just included in the landline account. The donation can be done only from the landline.

The line has been active for more than a month already and last week we received the first results: in July we received 1038 calls! And this means that at the middle of September we expect to receive the amount of 5 916 600 roubles! This is the excellent beginning of our project! Thanks so much to those who telephoned our number and all those who have done it more than once! This money is going to support the work of the social in-patient hospital of the Belarusian Children's Hospice where parents can leave their child with serious health problems for the period up to 14 days that will give them the possibility to recreate, allot more time to the other family members, have their house repaired, solve personal problems and do many other things. Unfortunately, the possibility of having a rest is what the parents of children with serious illnesses are often devoid of.
