Results of the work of the telephone line in august 2010

We are summing up results of the work of the charity telephone line

With the assistance of the Delegation of the International Children's Foundation in the Republic of Belarus, the direct charity telephone line has begun its work since July 12, 2010 to raise the funds for the Belarusian Children's Hospice. A great help in creating the line was rendered by the Republican Unitary Enterprise «Beltelecom» who gratuitously conducted the telephone cable and organized the work of the line. This way, today, to lend us support one may just telephone the number 8-902-101–0000 and thus help the sick children and their families who are under the wardship of the Belarusian Children's Hospice. Telephoning the number, a calling line donates to the Belarusian Children's Hospice the amount of 5700 roubles. The given amount of money is just included in the landline account. The donation can be done only from the landline.

Belarusian Children's Hospice received a second report from Beltelecom with the statistics of our line in August — it can be downloaded or viewed here. Thus, in August for our charity phone line received 389 calls, which means that we will need to obtain an amount of 2,217,300 rubles. Money to our account will be transferred to 15–20 October 2010

This is a good result, however, it is less than twice than in July, when for the support of the Belarusian Children's Hospice the sum of 5,916,600 rubles has been collected, which allowed us to organize the food for children receiving assistance program, Social Hospital Hospice (10), Pay for nurses 83 on duty (12 hours), to purchase medicines, medical supplies and personal hygiene. Due to such assistance to 10 families in which there is severely ill children were able to relax a bit, and children at this time of qualified medical care and psychosocial support.

The funds collected from the calls during September, we also plan to use to maintain social work of the social hospital of the Belarusian Children's Hospice — a program that allows parents of terminally ill children to leave the child in a hospice for up to 2 weeks and have a little rest.

We hope, that your support will be continued during the next months!
